Worked at CEMEX for 10 years where he held different roles in the areas of Corporate Affairs, Risk Management and Strategic Planning for MX and EMEA.

From 2018 to 2020, he served as Global Director of Enterprise Risk Management for CEMEX, where he led the Business Continuity and Crisis Management Program.

In the public sector, Rodrigo worked in the Ministry of the Interior within the Technical Secretary for the Implementation of the Criminal Justice System. 

In PEMEX, Rodrigo worked for the Social Development Department in the execution of social-impact projects across different communities in Mexico.  

From 2020-2023 Rodrigo served as managing director at Baboon Consulting.

Rodrigo has a degree in Political Science from Monterey’s Institute of Technology (ITESM).

Rodrigo obtained a Master's degree in Public Administration and Public Policy from EGAP (Mexico), and an MBA from IE Business School (Spain).

Rodrigo holds an international Certification in Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management (London) and is currently a member of RIMS (Risk Management Society)

Since 2021, Rodrigo participates in COPARMEX as a member of the board and responsible for developing civic participation mechanisms in Mexico.

Since 2022, Rodrigo serves as the Chairman of the Board for CIC (Centro de Integración Ciudadana), a non profit organization that encourages civic participation through the use of technology.

Rodrigo regularly contributes to the Latin American Advisor (Inter-American Dialogue) as invited SME on political and economic policy in Mexico.

Rodrigo is married, has three kids and lives in Monterrey, MX.
